I was introduced into the world of black and white photography by accident. While enrolled in a high school
journalism class, my teacher asked if I would be interested in being the photographer for the school
newspaper and yearbook. My fascination with black and white images suddenly began.
In 1997, I earned a degree in Art Education from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and worked
as an Art Teacher for three years until I earned my Masters Degree in Student Affairs.
In recent years, I began to develop my artistic skills, indulging in black and white photography as well as other
art forms such as drawing, painting, crafts, and book making.
Many people have asked me where I came up with the name of my website. The name comes from the mascot
of the fraternity of which I am a member - Alpha Sigma Phi. I was a member of the Beta Delta chapter.
